Conservatives had constructive ideas, discussed them rationally, and compromised to do what was good for Americans and move the country forward. Today, Conservatism as a constructive force in America is dead. It began to die with the Tea Party in 2009 and was bludgeoned to death in 2016 when Donald J. Trump became POTUS.
